Prospect Lefferts Gardens

With a name nodding to nearby Prospect Park, historic Lefferts Manor and Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Prospect Lefferts Gardens—sometimes called PLG—is a park-side neighborhood known for its tree-lined streets and architectural variety.
Row houses and freestanding homes here showcase styles ranging from neo-Renaissance and Romanesque Revival to neo-Tudor, Georgian and Federal. At its heart, the Lefferts Manor Historic District features more than 600 preserved single-family residential buildings.
Since the early 2010s, PLG has seen a surge in property values, alongside a growing mix of longtime neighborhood staples and newer cafes, restaurants and small businesses. Flatbush and Nostrand Avenues offer an ever-evolving stretch of local shops, bakeries, bars, dining spots and music venues, as well as transportation options. And with Prospect Park at its western border, residents have easy access to LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Smorgasburg, the Prospect Park Zoo, Grove Concert Pavillion and Boathouse.
Community is a driving force in PLG. Founded in 1968, the Prospect Lefferts Gardens Neighborhood Association continues to connect and advocate for residents, tenants and merchants by promoting affordable housing, tenant rights, youth programs, resident resources and engagement within PLG and the larger Flatbush area.
Transportation options include the G, A and C trains, as well as multiple buses.
