Asian-Owned Restaurants To Try in Park Slope, Brooklyn

May 31, 2026

Beyond the charming tree-lined blocks of brownstones, some of the things we love most about having our real estate office in Park Slope are the diversity and endless food options.

In honor of May being Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we want to highlight some newer Asian-owned food spots that have popped up throughout the neighborhood.

As we celebrate the AAPI community, we’re reminded that the soul of our neighborhood is often found in the kitchens and storefronts that keep our streets thriving and our bellies full.

Andamiro opened where Naruto Ramen once was on 5th Avenue in Park Slope, offering a curated selection of affordable Korean dishes by Chef Suho Lee. The beautifully plated offerings include a comforting bowl of gukbap (a soupy rice dish) with beef or chicken, or jangjorim (a steamed rice and egg dish) for lunch, while the dinner menu also features gukbap but alongside small plate options. And there are vegan selections too.

Breadivore Bakery

🍞 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘆 #parkslopebrooklyn #newyorkcity RUN before there are lines out the door! I’ve found a cardamom bun that rivals my long-standing affection for the Fabrique’s one, from a little-known bakery in Brooklyn🤯 And I had to come twice just for this pastry: BLACK SESAME & OSMANTHUS ROLL🖤   @Eater has recently recognized Breadivore as the next-hype bakery. Located on a quiet street in Park Slope, it is very low-profile compared to other viral bakeries in Brooklyn, but their bread and pastries are definitely top notch🎖️   The space gives cozy vibes with some comfy seatings and long display shelves. They sell mostly French artisan bread and pastries, but some with an Asian influence.   ✎﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ 🌼 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙊𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙪𝙨 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙡 $6.25 Inspired by black sesame tangyuan, the owner blends flavors she’d grown up with into European baking. It was nutty, slightly savory from the black sesame and floral from the osmanthus syrup. I really liked the flakiness and subtle sweetness💛 They only do one batch every day. It was sold out when I arrived at 10:30 on a Sunday, so I tried my luck again on a Friday morning. So worth it😭 🥯 𝘾𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙢 𝘽𝙪𝙣 $6.25 The bun was still warm when I got it, spiced with cardamom and cinnamon. It was shaped into elegant knot of laminated dough. The laminated layers made it special, with a glazed top sprinkled with Swedish pearl sugar, and a soft, fluffy center. From this day onward, a regular cardamom/cinnamon bun could never satisfy me anymore🙂‍↔️ ✎﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ 📍Address: 500A 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215 #nyc #newyork #Brooklyn #nycfood #newyorkfoodie #nycfoodie #nycfoodies #brooklynfoodies #newyorkeats #紐約美食 #紐約 #ニューヨーク #뉴욕 #brooklynfood #brooklyneats #newyorkfood #紐約旅行 #nyctravel #parkslope #parkslopefood #nycbakery #breadivore #breadivorebakery #nyccafe #newyorkcafe #southslope

While we’re talking about 5th Avenue, we’d also like to highlight Breadivore bakery in South Slope where owner Cixiu Gao serves up a carb-lover’s trove of French and Italian baked goodies with inspiration from Asia. Go for the egg tart and stay for the 24-hour-fermented sourdough and seasonal items including a Chinese tahini and Okinawa black sugar croissant, a fig tart or brioche pull-apart. And if you’re afraid they might run out of something, you can always pre-order up to 14 days in advance.

Lore

Born in India, chef and owner Jay Kumar kicked off his culinary career in Switzerland before coming to Brooklyn where he opened Lore to “reimagine Indian cuisine through the lens of global community.” Combining Indian spices and cooking methods with global influences has resulted in a creative menu with dishes like biscuits with cardamom jam, kimchi uttapam and roti ravioli made with eggplant and vindaloo sauce. Each menu item also includes clear dietary guidelines which might help you narrow down your tasty options.

If it’s Korean-style wings you’re looking for, head to Wangs on the cusp of Gowanus and Park Slope. Chef-owner Sara Nguyen once appeared on Top Chef (as the show’s youngest contestant) but today she’s running this takeout window that’s small in size and big on flavor. Choose from soul food items with an Asian twist including wings, popcorn chicken, Asian-spiced fried chicken, a bahn mi-style fried chicken sandwich and vegetable sides.

Shaka Shaka Tiki

@newyorkgay

Shaka Shaka Tiki is a cute and cozy tiki bar in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. We stopped by for a drink during happy hour before the NY Liberty game. The bar has creative house cocktails – mine had cardamon iced coffee in it! The ambiance is casual, plant forward and intimate! It’s quite small inside but there is also outdoor seating. The bar has become a local favorite due to its affordable drinks, inclusive vibe and good music. Located at 64 6th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217, it’s open daily from 4pm – midnight. Would like to note that generally tiki bars are problematic because of their reliance on cultural appropriation and colonial nostalgia. If you didn’t know, tiki culture originated in the 1930s and became popular post-WWII, due to its portrayal of Polynesian and South Pacific cultures through a lens of American imperialism and exotic fantasy. The owner is from Hawaii and is likely aware of the history and hopefully considering this in his approach. #TikiBar #ProspectHeights #BrooklynEats #OutdoorSeating #BrooklynBars #NYCDrinks #NYCBarReview #NYCSmallBars #BrooklynLocalFavorites #BrooklynNightlife #DrinkLocal #ShakaShakaTiki #NYCNightlife

Originally from Hawaii, owner Garrett Mukai opened Shaka Shaka Tiki in 2018 as a neighborhood bar where Prospect Heights locals can mingle and listen to good music. The bar is known for its friendly service, where you can enjoy a cocktail beneath the glow of green lights and tropical hanging plants that conjure the verdant landscape of Hawaii.

Syrian 🇸🇾 or Korean 🇰🇷 food? @Syko Restaurant & Dukan Syko (Brooklyn, NY) is a Syrian 🇸🇾 Korean 🇰🇷 fusion restaurant in Brooklyn serving some of the most creative fusion dishes you’ll find in the entire city🔥 Out of all the fusion restaurants in New York that I’ve tried, this one is very high on my list! They also sell spices and ingredients for you to make food at home👀 You can’t leave here without trying the labandu dumplings, the falafel pizza, or the bulgogi egg n cheese! Follow me for more food recs🍽️ #syrianfood #koreanfood #middleeasternfood #brooklyn #foodreview

Though it’s been around for a couple years, let’s not forgot Syko, a Syrian-Korean eatery in Windsor Terrace owned by James Kim, his wife Rosette Khoury Kim, and Rosette’s brothers, Mazen and Michael Khoury. Choose from the Syrian, Korean or Fusion menus with dishes like a falafel kimchi bowl, a scallion pancake falafel pizza or scallion pancake shawarma pizza. They also recently opened Dukan Syko, a neighborhood grocery store.
