Celebrating Community: Brooklyn Juneteenth Events for Our Park Slope Neighbors

June 9, 2026

As the 161st Juneteenth approaches, we pause, reflect and come together to honor the enduring freedom, strength and resilience of Black Americans.

Here in Brooklyn, there are lots of ways to take part in the festivities while also supporting Black cooks, artisans, artists and business owners who enrich our borough every day.

Whether you are looking to stay close to your neighborhood or explore a different part of Brooklyn, we’ve gathered a list of meaningful ways to celebrate all week long.
