Favorite Farmers Market: Grand Army Plaza Farmers Market

Amazing selection of meats, produce and fish. I like to get there early on Saturday mornings when it opens at 8am. Every third Sunday of the month, they also have a food truck rally on the Plaza with a huge variety of choicesalways a fun treat.

Favorite Place to Run: Prospect Park Loop

There is nothing like running in Prospect Park. The loop is 3.3 miles or you can mix it up on the trails. Running here is of my favorite ways to see the seasons change, from the magnolia trees in Spring, to the barbecues in Summer, and the foliage in Fall and the park blanketed in snow in the Winter.

Favorite Place to People-Watch: Coney Island

One of my all time favorite places. Such great people watching. We hang out on the beach, where you can buy a fresh mango on a stick with lime and salt, then head over to the boardwalk for a beer and then hit the rides.  My boys love it too!

Favorite Summer Activity: Red Hook Pool

Love taking my boys to this Olympic-sized pool on a hot Summer day, followed by a taco from the Red Hook Food Vendors, who have been there for over 30 years. Sunset Park pool is another great place to beat the heat.

Favorite Beach: Jacob Riis Park

The “People’s Beach” in Far Rockaway isn’t as crowded as Coney Island. It’s clean and secluded and feels far away from the city, but is actually super easy to get to by car or public transportation (20 minutes on the Q35 bus in front of Target at Flatbush Junction).

Raised in Park Slope, Sarah is a neighborhood insider in the very best way. Beyond her decades as a resident, she is highly knowledgeable about neighborhood schools, having taught and student-taught at both PS 39 and PS 321. Sarah brings her enthusiasm, friendliness, and work ethic to sell your home or find you a new place to live. When Sarah’s not working, you will likely bump into her running in Prospect Park, shopping the farmers markets, going out to eat with her husband, Dave, and chasing her two young sons, Jack and Max, around the many local playgrounds.
